10/10. Maybe the best meal I’ve had in my life. Def the best Hawaiian spot in Portland. Eat here!! We ordered: 1) manoa and Honolulu poke Hawaiian style 2) plate meal w/ two proteins, chicken katsu w/ spicy ketchup & bbq sauce, Korean fried chicken in a sweet teriyaki sauce

Chris is a rockstar! His food never disappoints! Whether you want comfort food or refreshing food- he’s got it. 11/10 always. I crave this stuff. I always get the Honolulu (house style) and the spam musubi. We also got the wings this time around. So juicy and flavorful. Chris will always keep me coming back with his delicious food. ❤️🤤

I ate here after noticing it when going by on the Maxx. The portions are huge, food is great and we loved the dishes we tried: 2 types of poke Hawaiian and Seoul, and the plate lunch with kahlua pork and chicken tonkatsu. I've been eating poke for the past 5 months on Maui, and these folks know what they are doing! The Seoul poke was memorable and what I can't stop thinking about since going there. You can't go wrong with these folks, and a friendly owner too!

Chris Cooks and attends with love! The food is amazing! We ordered the 2 meat Lunch special with Spicy Bulgogi and Oven Rosted Kaula Pork, Spam masubis, and a Honolulu (house style)

Smokin Fire Fish offers delicious and exciting food. When eating-in or take-out it works best to order online. In keeping with food cart dining, there is a rustic covered outdoor eating area for the hardy which is best enjoyed in the late spring. The setting is on the banks of the Willamette River under the Fremont bridge. Uniquely industrial.

Really enjoyed the poke here! The portions were really big and was well worth the $$. The amount of fish they give you is a lot more than any other poke place. Both the Honolulu and 1949 were delicious! I wasn’t a fan of the wings, they were too salty. I would still recommend this place to others! Definitely want to come back and try the lunch plates!

This is for the food truck. I ordered the 3 meat plate lunch today including poke for $3 more. You have quite a variety to choose from. I had the chicken katsu (crispy outside, not dry inside), kalua (very tender & mild flavor as kalua should be) and the poke was 1949 (very fresh, robust fish with not shy seasoning). All yummy with great flavors. The crispiness of the katsu off-set the softness of kalua, mac salad, rice and poke. It was a lovely day sitting outside at the truck. Had a nice conversation with Chris, the owner, who obviously loves making people happy. My husband and I shared lunch and had a bit leftover but we tend to eat on the light side. Regardless the 3 meat plate is definitely enough for 2 people which is a bargain at $22. Parking on site at Rose Budz wasn't a problem.

I always make a point to swing by here when I am in Portland. It is by far some of the best poke I've ever had. The fish is always fresh and the flavor is perfect. The service is always friendly as well. I wouldn't recommend any other poke place over this place.
